Green Neon Signs In France And Taiwan

A bout of insomnia led me to watch an old Rick Steves' episode on the Alsace region in France. I know the episode was old because the prices at the shops were in francs. Steves' American expat friend drove an awesome XM. And of course, there was the obligatory shot of the pharmacy with the ubiquitous green neon cross.

There's another country with ubiquitous green neon signs, Taiwan. There, green neon rods patterned like sunburst adorn the outside of betelnut stands, where young ladies prepare and sell the mild narcotic to truckers.
